Sleeping Bear Wildlife Fund is dedicated to rehabilitating and restoring Northern Michigan’s wildlife while helping people feel more connected to nature through rehabilitation, restoration, and education.
In 2025 alone, they cared for 166 injured or orphaned wildlife patients across 15 counties, responded to 400+ calls about wildlife in need, continued important habitat monitoring using trail cameras, and reached 613 people through educational outreach programs.

Freedom Builders serves the five-county region surrounding Traverse City by addressing critical housing needs for families who may feel like they’re running out of hope. March Precision Cares Winner
We’re honored to recognize End of Life Doulas & Senior Services of Northwest Michigan as our March Precision Cares recipient.
While their nonprofit is newly established, their impact is not new — they have been assisting families in the Grand Traverse area for over 30 years, walking alongside individuals and loved ones during life’s final chapter.
Their mission is simple but powerful: to provide compassionate, hands-on support so families don’t have to navigate end-of-life care alone. From helping individuals return home for their final journey, to offering emotional support, education, and guidance, they ensure families can focus on being present with the ones they love most.
They also work to prepare families ahead of time — helping them “get their ducks in a row” through thoughtful planning, education, and resources that bring peace of mind during difficult moments.

April Precision Cares Winner
We’re proud to recognize American Military League as our April Precision Cares recipient.
American Military League is a welcoming place for Veterans of all branches — whether they served in combat or not — along with their families and friends. Through their Veterans Division, Women’s Auxiliary, and Friends Division, they’ve created a strong, supportive community built on connection, understanding, and shared experiences.
They provide a space where Veterans can gather, share stories, and find fellowship, while also giving back in meaningful ways. From hosting monthly free meals for DAV (Disabled American Veterans), to offering a special Veterans Day meal each year, and opening their doors to organizations like Tunnel to Towers and others — their impact reaches far beyond their walls.
