Start with a Fresh Filter:
If you haven’t changed your filter recently, now’s the time. Restricted airflow can keep your AC from cooling properly—especially with newer systems.
Check the Thermostat:
Make sure it’s set to cool and the temperature is below the current room temp. If needed, swap the batteries.
Verify Power:
Check your breaker panel and the outdoor disconnect—both should be on. These are often turned off during winter.
Look at the Outdoor Unit:
Is the fan running? If not, it could point to a power issue.
Clear Around the Condenser:
Remove leaves, debris, or overgrowth so your system can breathe.
Give It a Test Run:
Run your AC before the first hot day to make sure everything’s working properly.
