Since 1973, The Young Marines have been a cornerstone of youth leadership in the greater Grand Traverse area. With principles rooted in teamwork, leadership, and discipline, they have positively impacted countless young lives. “Drug Demand Reduction is a pillar of the program, at one time being the only youth program mentioned by name in the President’s Anti-drug initiative.”
Meeting weekly, The Young Marines provide a nurturing environment where boys and girls as young as 8 years old through high school completion can thrive. Their dedication to instilling core values and fostering community involvement has made a significant difference in the lives of many young people.
As one parent shared, “My son joined this group 3 years ago and it has changed his life! This program is one of the best things for kids and teenagers. It teaches them core values and keeps them involved with their local communities.”
