“The Mission of the Women’s Resource Center for the Grand Traverse Area (WRC) is to protect, shelter and empower people impacted by domestic and sexual violence. The WRC is the only agency in our four-county service area (Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Benzie and Kalkaska) providing free and confidential emergency shelter and services to people fleeing domestic and sexual violence. Last year we provided safe shelter to over 100 survivors and answered over 5,000 calls on our 24-hour helpline.

Thanks to the community, we are able to continue providing support to survivors of abuse when they need us most.”
