We are in the midst of receiving nominations for our Extreme Precision Make-Over! I always look forward to being a part of making one family very warm and happy around Christmas each year. We are fortunate that Trane is once again helping us out with a heatpump and furnace for a family in need. We will be installing it for free and hope to be able to do this right around Christmas. So if you know of anyone in the Traverse City or Surrounding area who could really use a new furnace please visit our home page and click on “Extreme Precision Make-Over” to fill out a nomination form for them. We can’t give someone a new furnace that we don’t know about, so please send in your nominations today! Thanks to those of you who have already nominated friends and loved ones. The deadline is December 1, 2009

Everyone said that we were going to enjoy an unusually long and warm fall in Northern Michigan. Afterall, we had to endure a very short cool summer, even by Traverse City’s standards. Well, it’s October and the forcast has a low of 30 and a high of 50 this week. I don’t consider that warm, let alone, unusually warm.
I love the fact that the Northern Michigan landscapes will begin to show their true beauty and that visitors and locals alike will be enjoying what Leelanau, Grand Traverse, Antrim, Benzie and the surrounding Counties showcase in both color and wine. It’s a very heartwarming season and yet the forthcoming months seem to hover in the shadows, waiting to pounce on us with it’s vengance. It’s time for furnaces to make their annual cold starts and for some unlucky souls to find that theirs will no longer comply with their wishes, no matter how hard they kick it. So, with that being said, I’ll bundle up a bit more this week than I did last week and I’ll remind all my friends and family to get their Preventative Maintenances done on their furnace before they find that they are one of the select unlucky ones on that chilly night that lies just around the corner.
During what I’m sure will seem like a forever long winter ahead, I will be looking forward to a long “unusually” warm summer of 2010.
